Mexico: Altan wins the 'Shared Network' tender

On 17th November 2016, the Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT) carried out a public meeting to announce the winner of the tender of the so-called 'Shared Network' in the 700 MHz band. The selected bidder was Altan, a group composed of different companies such as Axtel and Megacable.

Sweden: 700 MHz band auction cancelled by PTS

On 1st November 2016, Post- Och Telestyrelsen (PTS) announced the cancellation of the 700 MHz band auction, which was planned to start on 1st December 2016. This decision is a consequence of the Government's new plan to keep the 694-790 MHz frequency band allocated to terrestrial television broadcasting services up to 31st May 2018.
